Diabetic Snack: Apple and Cheese
Apples make a great snack. I prefer golden delicious myself, although I recently tried an Empire and it was maybe the best apple I have ever eaten. That and a piece of string cheese make a good combination. Try cutting your apple in half and make two snacks out of it.
Apples are very good for you and low on the glycemic index, around 36 for a medium sized one.
